What should I bring to class?
Most students prefer using their own Yoga mat, Yoga blocks and Yoga strap, but this equipment will be provided for anyone who needs it.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable clothing that does not restrict your movement. Street shoes must be removed at the door before entering the studio. If you prefer to wear shoes or Yoga socks during practice, they can be carried in and put on prior to participation in class.
Do I have to pre-pay and will you accept cash or checks?
We will accept walk-ins if space allows. The cost for a walk-in session is $10. Yes, we do accept cash and checks made out to: Yoga On The Block.
Where do I park?
There is parking available near the side of the building close to 14th Street. There is usually parking available at Davis-McCann Building located on 14th Street.
Are children who are not participating allowed at the studio during the Yoga sessions?
No, only those who are participating in the classes are allowed. We want to keep the atmosphere quiet and provide a peaceful experience for all participants.
Will I be required to sign a liability waiver prior to taking the class?
Yes, the studio's insurance requires that all participants sign a liability waiver prior to their first session and this will be kept on file. Also, the studio requires that participants notify the Yoga instructor of any health concerns or mobility issues prior to participation.
